What happens to your photos

Capsule Valet is being tested by a small group of people Rob Abbey has invited. This is what it does with what you give it, in plain English.

What's kept

The photos you add, the cut-outs made from them, what the app reads from each piece (colour, fabric and so on), the looks it builds, and your "More like this" and "Not for me" taps. They're kept on a private server in Paris, run for Mercurious Limited, in a folder that only your invite link opens.

Who else sees them

Anthropic (the company behind Claude) reads each piece's photo to describe it, and the descriptions to put looks together.
OpenAI receives your cut-outs to make the styled flat-lay photographs, and any "product shot" you ask for.
Exa and Firecrawl are used to look up shop products. They receive only a text description of the suggested piece, never your photos.

All of these are used through their business services, which don't use what's sent to train their models.

The cut-out itself happens on your own phone or computer, before anything is uploaded.

While it's in testing

Rob can see what's been added to each wardrobe and how the app is being used, so he can fix what goes wrong. Nobody else can.

Please don't

Photograph people, documents or anything personal. Lay the clothes out on their own.

Removing things

Remove any piece in the app at any time. To have your whole account and everything in it deleted, email rob@mercurious.ai and it will be done within a few days.
